Today, I marry my best friend, the one I laugh with, live for and love!
Congratulations on your up-coming Wedding. This is a very exciting time for both of you. I would be very honoured to be part of your very special day.
I was appointed by the Alberta Government as a Marriage Commissioner for Sylvan Lake and area in July of 1997. I am also a Commissioner for Oaths. I have had the privilege of joining over fifteen hundred couples in marriage.
Wedding Ceremonies range from very intimate to very large gatherings. Your Wedding is very special and very personal. This day is about the two of you and should reflect exactly that. Along with the booklet that the Government provides, I have put together a package that will hopefully assist you in making your day everything you dreamed it would be.
I like to meet with you so you feel comfortable with your choosing me as your Officiant. I encourage you to include in your Ceremony what is important to you. At the close of your Ceremony, I will give you a copy of the actual Ceremony to add to your keepsakes.
The venue is your choice, be it your backyard, your friends home, river bank, beach, church, park, community hall or even our home or any other place you may choose. Any requests or questions you have will always be addressed. Every wedding Ceremony is unique, I never use that same Ceremony twice as this is after all, YOUR day.
My fee will include, travelling, any meetings we have, rehearsal and any other information you require. If you are in need of assistance in booking your honeymoon I will be grateful for the opportunity to help you with this as well.
For those of you who are contemplating your Wedding in foreign countries, please do some homework. Many countries require certified documents before they can perform Weddings legally. Countries such as Mexico, Cuba etc. require documents be translated into their language and may need to be sent to the Consulate up to three months in advance. One option you may wish to consider is to have an intimate ceremony here so that you are legally married here and still have your celebration with family and friends in the country of your choice.
